How to chat in a cafe?

Ensure you have completed the Getting started guide before proceeding.

• Login to your cafe. If you are not sure how to login to your cafe, check out the How to login to your cafe? guide.
• Head over to the Channels tab in your cafe via the bottom navigation bar.
• Voila! You are now in the chat section of your cafe. You can now start chatting with your community.

How to send a message?

• Click on the Message input box at the bottom of the screen.
• Start typing your message.
• Press Enter to send your message.

How to delete a message?

• Click on your message to open the message menu.
• Click on the Delete Message button to delete your message.
• Your message will be deleted and you will see a confirmation message.

Admin/Mod only feature

If you are a moderator or admin of the cafe, you can delete any message in the cafe.

How to upload an image or a video?

Paid feature

This feature is only available in cafes with a paid plan.

Images are restricted to a maximum size of 5MB. Videos are restricted to a maximum size of 50MB.

• Once you've completed typing your message, click on the attachment(🧷) to open the attachment menu.
• Select an image or a video from your device to upload it to the cafe.
• You will be able to see a preview of your image or video in the attachment menu.
• Once you hit Enter, your image or video will be able to monitor the upload progress and see a confirmation message once the upload is complete and your message is sent.

How to mention someone?

• While typing your message, type @ followed by the username of the person you want to mention.
• You will see a list of users with the username you typed. Select the user you want to mention.
• Once you hit Enter, your message will be sent and the user you mentioned will be notified.

How to use emojis?

• While typing your message, type : followed by the name of the emoji you want to use.
• You will see a list of emojis with the name you typed. Select the emoji you want to use.
• Once you hit Enter, your message will be sent and the emoji you used will be displayed.
